PRESS RELEASE – Team Lumaj releases “Lumaj Plan” in time for the GOP Convention

May 16th, 2012

FAIRFIELD, Conn., May 16, 2012 – Peter Lumaj, representing Connecticut’s only Conservative candidate for the United States Senate, happily promotes the ‘Lumaj Plan’.  Given that the election of 2012 is the most significant election since Reagan, arguably since Lincoln, Team Lumaj presents its formal public policy proposal critiquing the intrinsic failure that has become American Liberalism; fixing inflation, currency depreciation, unemployment, public debt, failing schools and foreign policy.

The ’Lumaj Plan’ articulates both the domestic policy challenges and the existential foreign threats that dominate regions of the world that American hegemony has thwarted for decades.  Written under the aegis of Fredrick Hayek, Ludwig von Mises and Ronald Reagan, the ‘Lumaj Plan’ views inflation and currency depreciation as the twin enormities of failed liberalism; where inflation is viewed as hidden taxation, as theft, as coercion and social engineering.  Fiscal Reform is articulated from within the confines of Paul Ryan’s plan of a simplified tax rate, minimum corporate taxation, the repeal of Obamacare and the reform of social mandates that drive an expansive federal budget.  Team Lumaj tackles energy, immigration and education reform from within the Republican ideals of individual sovereignty and limited enumerated government.

Foreign policy includes detailed analysis of American policy regarding Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, Russia, Mexico, Central America, Israel, North Korea and Iran.

The ‘Lumaj Plan’ is available to the public on the Peter Lumaj webpage lumaj2012.com.  We welcome comments and criticism for the single most important policy proposal since the election of Ronald Reagan.

PRESS RELEASE – Team Lumaj Anticipates Connecticut Tea Party Wave After Hoosiers Win With Mourdock

May 9th, 2012

FAIRFIELD, Conn., Witnessing the final defeat of Indiana’s 80 year old Senator Richard Lugar shapes the earnest that has become The Tea Party. Given the surge that was the 2010 mid-year election, incumbents can no longer expect to gain traction on issues that historically favored incumbency status. Anyone not sufficiently conservative is suspect to the ire of an angry, informed and organized citizenry.

Team Lumaj happily acknowledges a win that favors a Conservative lead in the US Senate. As Richard Mourdock begins the liberation of the Midwest, Team Lumaj continues its quest to liberate the citizens of Connecticut one town at a time. The precedents that Pat Toomey, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio are building, we gladly add Richard Mourdock to the list of liberators that vanquish the lie that is contemporary liberalism.

We look forward to working with Senator Mourdock in implementing the Reaganite policy mix of sound money, low taxation, pro-growth strategy so that American citizens can inherit a birthright shaped by our Founders.

Taking Connecticut One Town at a Time: Peter Lumaj, the Only True Conservative

The election of 2012 is the most significant election since Reagan, arguably even since 1860 when Lincoln was elected to secure the Union from dissolution.

The challenges facing this Nation require a leadership not discovered within the confines of incumbency.  With unsustainable debt, skyrocketing unemployment, massive taxation and a weakened currency, many residents of Connecticut are discovering the very candidate needed to check a socialist vision of government unalloyed from the tradition that is American Exceptionalism.

It is for this reason that the Town of Harwinton and other chairmen across the state formally endorsed Peter Lumaj for the United States Senate.

We look forward to pushing a political agenda that liberates the individual from the suffocating ideology of contemporary liberalism.  As Ronald Reagan once said, ‘I do not mean to promote welfare, I mean to extend freedom’.  The campaign of Peter Lumaj seeks to liberate Connecticut one town at a time.

Connecticut Reaching Out

January 2nd, 2012

Unless we stand up and take action towards “real reform” in Washington, the situation for ordinary citizens like Daniel Gaita will worsen. Please read this message we received by one of the many Connecticut citizens that are losing hope for the American dream:

Mr. Lumaj

I greatly appreciate your reaching out and also your efforts to serve our nation as a US Senator. As you can imagine from viewing some of my videos that I am not a big fan of “politicians” or politics as usual.

I read a little about you and like your story. I hope you are able to get some traction in the upcoming election since you are a political outsider that can only serve to improve the toxic atmosphere that is our government of today.

I fully understand you have a busy schedule. I have two children and operate a fitness center in Bethel CT so my time is also extremely limited.

At present I am frustrated that I have followed the script of the American Dream, I have lived my life based on the promise of America – That being, we go to school, serve our nation, go to college, go to grad school, and implement the entrepreneurial spirt and hard work that is supposed to give us a stable future, a stable income, a home, and the ability to provide for a family. That was the promise I built my life upon – Only to find it to be an absolute lie for my generation.

Now I struggle to keep my business open, I am three years into a foreclosure fight, my wife has to  commute 3 hours a day to and from work and half of her income goes to day care. I burn wood because we can no longer afford oil to heat our home.

Our family represents the class/group that gets up every day, earns a living that is not enough to sustain the “american dream” . We earn just a bit too much to be eligible for welfare, oil, food stamps, day care aid, or any other social aid program…basically we live and work to support the system that encourages laziness and rewards complacency.

I am tired of it. I am angry. and so are millions more of us.

That is my two cents. This is the message that comes from the “99%”. Unfortunately, it seems inevitable that the change needed to bring America back from the brink of disaster may only come by way of less than desirable actions taken on behalf of an angry citizenry. Not my goal at all, but history seems to have already written where Americas next chapter will begin.

Only an enlightened, awakened, and outer directed leader could navigate a peaceful path through this storm. History has also told us what happens to these people too.

So we pray.

Respectfully,

Daniel R Gaita

Official Candidacy Announcement

November 23rd, 2011

Let’s reestablish our constitutionally limited government

Hardworking citizens of Connecticut and the US are facing hardships. Many have lost their jobs, homes, business, and investments because of Washington’s detrimental policies plunging America into darkness, despair and depression.

Liberal policies and big government under President Obama are destroying our economy, our way of life, and our nation. Government czars and executive fiats are hindering the production of our farms, fisheries, and energy industry, therefore, driving up unemployment, fuel prices, food prices and the cost of living. The value of the US dollar has fallen, our nation’s debt is unsustainable, the health care system would resemble a socialistic one, the educational system is a failure, the immigration policies are a mess, and the Constitution is being disregarded.

This is not the America we know, nor the America we want our children and grandchildren to inherit. When the Constitution was written, our Founding Fathers, with unsurpassed wisdom, realized that Americans are exceptional, thus gave us a constitutionally limited government where the individual would remain free and prosperous. They warned us of unlimited
government and its consequences.

I believe that conservatism and conservative principles are the solution to the failed policies of this administration. Conservatives like you and I have a country to save and a Constitution to defend.

Therefore, I, Peter Lumaj am entering the race for United States Senate as a Conservative Republican and will fight every day to reestablish a constitutionally limited government as meant by our Founding Fathers.

May God Bless the United States of America
